This Privacy Policy applies to GolfMint, including the GolfMint website, mobile app, membership platform, rewards store, competitions, GM Points, referrals, giveaways, support channels, marketing and any related services we provide.
By using GolfMint, creating an account, purchasing a membership, entering a competition, redeeming rewards or communicating with us, you agree to the handling of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you should not use GolfMint.
1. About GolfMint
GolfMint is an Australian golf rewards platform.
GolfMint allows eligible members to use the official golf rounds they already play to participate in GolfMint competitions, earn GM Points, compete on leaderboards, redeem rewards and receive recognition for verified golf performance and handicap improvement.
GolfMint is not a golf club, not a handicap provider, not a replacement for Golf Australia, GolfLink, Golf ID, Future Golf or any golf club, and not a gambling service.
GolfMint does not issue, calculate or change official handicaps. Official handicap information is determined by Golf Australia, GolfLink, Golf ID, affiliated golf clubs and relevant golf administration systems.
References to Golf Australia, GolfLink, Golf ID, clubs, retailers, app stores or other third parties are for identification, verification, fulfilment or service operation purposes only. Unless expressly stated, GolfMint is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or officially partnered with those organisations.
2. Personal information we collect
GolfMint collects personal information that is reasonably necessary to operate the platform, provide memberships, verify eligibility, run competitions, award rewards, process payments, prevent fraud, provide support and improve the service.
The types of personal information we may collect include:
- your name;
- email address;
- phone number, if provided;
- account login details;
- GolfMint member ID;
- Golf ID, GolfLink number or other official handicap identifier;
- official handicap information;
- golf score and round information;
- flagged round history;
- competition results;
- leaderboard results;
- handicap movement;
- GM Points balance and activity;
- rewards store activity;
- reward redemption details;
- gift card or voucher redemption details;
- referral code or referral link information;
- who referred you, if applicable;
- membership type;

- Stripe customer or subscription identifiers;

We may also collect information from screenshots, score records, support requests, emails, forms, uploaded documents or other materials you voluntarily provide to GolfMint.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive information such as health information, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, political opinions or criminal record information unless it is necessary for a specific lawful purpose and you have provided it or consented where required.
3. Golf ID, GolfLink and official golf data
GolfMint is built around official Australian golf handicap information.
To operate GolfMint fairly, we may collect, view, store, verify or use information connected to your Golf ID, GolfLink number or official handicap profile.
This may include:
- your official handicap;
- handicap movement over time;
- eligible and flagged rounds;
- gross and net scores;
- course information;
- dates of rounds;
- score history;
- data required to determine competition rankings;
- data required to verify handicap improvement rewards;
- data required to confirm eligibility for rewards, prizes or giveaways.
GolfMint uses this information to operate the platform. GolfMint does not issue your official handicap and does not change your official handicap.
Your use of official golf systems may also be subject to the terms and privacy policies of the organisations that operate those systems.
4. How we collect personal information
We may collect personal information directly from you when you:
- create a GolfMint account;
- purchase a membership;
- enter your Golf ID or GolfLink number;
- use the GolfMint website or app;
- enter a competition;
- redeem GM Points;
- claim a reward;
- use a referral code or referral link;

- respond to emails, forms or surveys;
- interact with GolfMint on social media;
- participate in a promotion or giveaway.
We may also collect information from:
- official or accepted golf data sources;

- gift card, voucher, reward and fulfilment providers;

- manage GM Points balances;

- issue gift cards, vouchers, products or GolfMint merchandise;
- run member giveaways and promotions;
- manage referral codes, referral links and referral rewards;
- prevent fraud, duplicate accounts, manipulation or abuse;
- detect and fix bugs or platform issues;
- provide customer support;
- communicate with you about your account, membership, rewards or competitions;
- send important service updates;
- send marketing communications where permitted;
- improve the website, app, membership, rewards and user experience;
- comply with legal, tax, accounting, regulatory and dispute-resolution obligations;
- protect GolfMint, members, partners and third parties.
GolfMint does not sell your personal information.
6. Payments and billing information
GolfMint uses third-party payment processors, including Stripe, to process payments.
When you purchase a membership, your payment details are processed by the payment provider. GolfMint does not directly store your full card number.
GolfMint may store payment-related records such as:
- your plan type;
- payment status;
- subscription status;
- billing period;
- Stripe customer ID;
- Stripe subscription ID;
- checkout session ID;
- transaction references;
- refund or chargeback status.
This information is used to manage memberships, activate accounts, handle cancellations, process refunds, resolve billing issues and prevent payment fraud.
Your payment provider may handle your payment information under its own terms and privacy policy.
7. Leaderboards, proof posts and public display information
GolfMint may display certain member information in the app, on the website or in marketing materials to operate the platform and show real competition and reward activity.
This may include:
- first name and last initial;
- display name;
- leaderboard position;
- GM Points earned;
- competition results;
- reward claims;
- winner status;
- joined date;
- handicap improvement achievement;
- general proof of rewards or prizes awarded.
GolfMint will not intentionally publish sensitive private information such as full payment details, full Golf ID or GolfLink number, full address, identity documents or private account information in public marketing materials.
Where practical, GolfMint may use shortened names, first names, initials or partial details.

8. Rewards, gift cards and fulfilment
When you redeem GM Points or receive a prize, GolfMint may use your personal information to verify eligibility and fulfil the reward.

- golf retailers;
- merchandise suppliers;
- courier or shipping providers;
- fulfilment partners;
- customer support tools.
The information shared will generally be limited to what is reasonably necessary to verify, issue or deliver the reward.

9. Referrals and creators

10. Marketing communications

- GM Points;
- referral activity;
- security notices;
- important service changes;

Some communications are service-related and are necessary to operate your account.
Marketing communications may include unsubscribe options where required.
Even if you unsubscribe from marketing emails, GolfMint may still send important service, billing, security, legal or account-related communications.

You may cancel your membership in accordance with the GolfMint Terms of Service.
You may also ask GolfMint to delete or deactivate your account.
Deleting or deactivating your account may affect your access to:
- app features;
- leaderboards;
- GM Points;
- rewards;
- competition eligibility;
- referral rewards;
- account history;
- support records.
GolfMint may retain certain information where reasonably necessary for:
- legal compliance;
- tax and accounting records;
- payment records;
- fraud prevention;
- dispute resolution;
- chargeback handling;
- security;
- enforcement of Terms;
- legitimate business records.
Where information is no longer reasonably needed, GolfMint may delete, de-identify or archive it.
