GolfMint is an Australian golf rewards platform.

GolfMint allows eligible members to use the official golf rounds they already play to participate in GolfMint competitions, win or earn GM Points, compete on leaderboards, mint rewards and receive recognition for verified golf performance and handicap improvement.

GolfMint is not a golf club, not a handicap provider, not a replacement for Golf Australia, GolfLink, Golf ID, Future Golf or any golf club, and not a gambling service.

GolfMint does not issue, calculate or change official handicaps. Official handicap information is determined by Golf Australia, GolfLink, Golf ID, affiliated golf clubs and relevant golf administration systems.

References to Golf Australia, GolfLink, Golf ID, clubs, retailers, app stores or other third parties are for identification, verification, fulfilment or service operation purposes only. Unless expressly stated, GolfMint is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or officially partnered with those organisations.

GolfMint collects personal information that is reasonably necessary to operate the platform, provide memberships, verify eligibility, run competitions, award rewards, process payments, prevent fraud, provide support and improve the service.

The types of personal information we may collect include:

• your name;
• email address;
• phone number, if provided;
• account login details;
• GolfMint member ID;
• Golf ID, GolfLink number or other official handicap identifier;
• official handicap information;
• golf score and round information;
• flagged round history;
• competition results;
• leaderboard results;
• handicap movement;
• GM Points balance and activity;
• rewards store activity;
• reward mint and fulfilment details;
• gift card or voucher mint details;
• referral code or referral link information;
• who referred you, if applicable;

We may also collect information from screenshots, score records, support requests, emails, forms, uploaded documents or other materials you voluntarily provide to GolfMint.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive information such as health information, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, political opinions or criminal record information unless it is necessary for a specific lawful purpose and you have provided it or consented where required.

In this Privacy Policy, 'minting' means using GM Points within GolfMint to request a reward or create an eligible promotion entry.

GolfMint is built around official Australian golf handicap information.

By providing your Golf ID or GolfLink number, you consent to GolfMint using that identifier to locate, track, view, verify and record relevant handicap and round information for operating your membership, competitions, rewards and eligibility checks.

This may include:

• your official handicap;
• handicap movement over time;
• eligible and flagged rounds;
• gross and net scores;
• course information;
• dates of rounds;
• score history;
• data required to determine competition rankings;
• data required to verify handicap improvement rewards;
• data required to confirm eligibility for rewards, prizes or giveaways.

You should also know that:

• GolfMint never asks for your Golf Australia, GolfLink or club password;
• providing your Golf ID or GolfLink number does not give GolfMint control of your official handicap account;
• GolfMint does not issue or alter official handicaps;
• GolfMint uses relevant golf information for its own membership, competition, reward and eligibility processes;
• a round must first appear on your official handicap record before GolfMint can verify it;
• GolfMint is an independent golf rewards platform and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Golf Australia.

Your use of official golf systems may also be subject to the terms and privacy policies of the organisations that operate those systems.

We may collect personal information directly from you when you:

• create a GolfMint account;
• purchase a membership;
• enter your Golf ID or GolfLink number;
• use the GolfMint website or app;
• enter a competition;
• mint a reward or promotion entry with GM Points;
• claim a prize;
• use a referral code or referral link;
• contact support;
• respond to emails, forms or surveys;
• interact with GolfMint on social media;
• participate in a promotion or giveaway.

We may also collect information from:

• official or accepted golf data sources;
• payment processors such as Stripe;
• app stores such as Apple App Store and Google Play;

GolfMint does not sell your personal information.

GolfMint uses third-party payment processors, including Stripe, to process payments.

When you purchase a membership, your payment details are processed by the payment provider. GolfMint does not directly store your full card number.

GolfMint may store payment-related records such as:

• your plan type;
• payment status;
• subscription status;
• billing period;
• Stripe customer ID;
• Stripe subscription ID;
• checkout session ID;
• transaction references;
• refund or chargeback status.

This information is used to manage memberships, activate accounts, handle cancellations, process refunds, resolve billing issues and prevent payment fraud.

Your payment provider may handle your payment information under its own terms and privacy policy.

GolfMint may display certain member information in the app, on the website or in marketing materials to operate the platform and show real competition and reward activity.

This may include:

• first name and last initial;
• display name;
• leaderboard position;
• GM Points won or earned;
• competition results;
• minted rewards;
• winner status;
• joined date;
• handicap improvement achievement;
• general proof of rewards or prizes awarded.

GolfMint will not intentionally publish sensitive private information such as full payment details, full Golf ID or GolfLink number, full address, identity documents or private account information in public marketing materials.

Where practical, GolfMint may use shortened names, first names, initials or partial details.

When you mint a reward with GM Points or receive a prize, GolfMint may use your personal information to verify eligibility and fulfil the reward.

This may include sharing necessary information with:

• gift card providers;
• voucher providers;
• golf retailers;
• merchandise suppliers;
• courier or shipping providers;
• fulfilment partners;
• customer support tools.

The information shared will generally be limited to what is reasonably necessary to verify, issue or deliver the reward.

Third-party gift cards, vouchers, retailers and delivery providers may have their own privacy policies and terms.

GolfMint may operate referral, creator, affiliate or partner programs.

If you use a referral code or link, we may collect and store:

• the referral code used;
• the referring member, creator or partner;
• your sign-up and membership status;
• whether referral points or commissions have been awarded;
• dates and records needed to verify the referral.

If you are a creator, affiliate or partner, GolfMint may collect information needed to manage your relationship with GolfMint, including your name, email, social media handle, referral code, referral link, commission records, payment details and related communications.

GolfMint may use referral information to calculate GM Points, creator commissions, partner rewards, discounts, attribution and campaign performance.

GolfMint may send you emails, messages or notifications about:

Some communications are service-related and are necessary to operate your account.

Even if you unsubscribe from marketing emails, GolfMint may still send important service, billing, security, legal or account-related communications.

The GolfMint website currently uses website analytics and advertising measurement tools, including Vercel Web Analytics (aggregate page view and visitor statistics) and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API (used to measure sign-ups and the performance of GolfMint's advertising). These tools may use cookies or similar technologies and may share limited event, device and browser information — and, for conversion measurement, hashed contact identifiers — with the relevant provider.

You may be able to control cookies through your browser settings, and you can manage advertising preferences through your Meta (Facebook) account settings. Blocking cookies may affect some website features.

Key providers currently used by GolfMint include Stripe (payment processing), Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (website hosting and analytics), Apple and Google (app distribution) and Meta (advertising measurement).

GolfMint may also disclose information:

• to investigate fraud, abuse, manipulation or security issues;
• to enforce this Privacy Policy or other GolfMint policies;
• to protect GolfMint, members or third parties;
• in connection with a business sale, merger, restructure, investment, asset transfer or similar transaction;

GolfMint does not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

Where required, GolfMint will notify affected individuals and relevant regulators, including the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, about eligible data breaches.

We may also take steps to contain the breach, investigate what happened, reduce potential harm and improve security.

You may request access to personal information GolfMint holds about you.

You may also request correction of personal information if you believe it is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or misleading. This includes correction of your Golf ID or GolfLink number, a recorded round, score or handicap detail, or a GM Point balance or transaction you believe has been recorded incorrectly.

We may need to verify your identity before responding.

In some cases, we may refuse access or correction where permitted by law, such as where the request is unreasonable, would affect another person's privacy, would compromise fraud investigations, or is otherwise not required by law.

If we refuse a request, we will aim to explain why where reasonable and lawful.

You may cancel your membership in accordance with the GolfMint Terms of Service.

You may also ask GolfMint to delete or deactivate your account.

Deleting or deactivating your account may affect your access to:

• app features;
• leaderboards;
• GM Points;
• rewards;
• competition eligibility;
• referral rewards;
• account history;
• support records.

GolfMint may retain certain information where reasonably necessary for:

• legal compliance;
• tax and accounting records;
• payment records;
• fraud prevention;
• dispute resolution;
• chargeback handling;
• security;
• enforcement of Terms;
• legitimate business records.

Where information is no longer reasonably needed, GolfMint may delete, de-identify or archive it.

GolfMint keeps personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Retention periods may depend on:

• whether you have an active account;

GolfMint may refuse or cancel access if we reasonably believe a user is not old enough to use the platform or does not have appropriate permission.

The GolfMint website or app may contain links to third-party websites, app stores, retailers, gift card providers, golf systems, payment providers or social media platforms.

GolfMint is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, security or terms of third-party websites or services.

You should review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

Where changes are material, GolfMint will aim to provide reasonable notice where practical.

Your continued use of GolfMint after an updated Privacy Policy is published means you accept the updated policy.

If you do not agree with the updated Privacy Policy, you should stop using GolfMint and may cancel your membership.
