Standard and above sit on top of the official Golf Australia handicap you already have and reward you for playing, improving, competing nationally and referring friends: paid out in GM Points you can turn into real golf prizes. Starter gets you into the club - giveaways, points and the Pro Shop - with no handicap at all.

No. GolfMint is Australia's golf rewards club and it works alongside the club you already play at. Keep your club membership, keep your official handicap, keep playing your normal rounds: GolfMint adds rewards, leaderboards and competitions on top. It is an add-on, so nothing about your existing golf changes.

On Standard, Premium and Founder, provide your GolfID or Golf Australia handicap number when you join. GolfMint automatically tracks your official handicap record. Once an eligible round appears, we verify it and update your GolfMint account. No scorecards or manual score entry required.

No. Play your normal golf and submit your score through the usual club process. Once the round appears on your official handicap record, GolfMint handles the tracking and verification.

Your GolfID is the identifier used across Golf Australia services, linked to your official handicap and scores. GolfMint uses it to find your eligible rounds automatically, so there is nothing to submit after you play.

Yes. If you get your official handicap through Future Golf, a social golf club, or any Golf Australia affiliated provider, you can join GolfMint and use that same handicap.

No. GolfMint does not issue or manage handicaps. Your official handicap is issued by your club or provider under Golf Australia. GolfMint tracks eligible information from your official handicap record for its own competitions, rewards and membership features.

None to join, and none to start earning. On Standard and above, every eligible round you post earns GM Points from your very first one, and private competitions are open straight away. Giveaway entries come with every membership from day one. The only things that wait for 8 eligible rounds on your record are the national competitions and the handicap improvement bonus, so they are decided on a real picture of your game.

Eight rounds give a fair, stable read on your form. It stops one-off results from skewing the national leaderboards and keeps the handicap improvement bonus honest for everyone. Nothing else waits for it: round points and private competitions on Standard and above, and giveaway entries on every membership, all start straight away.

An eligible round is an official round recorded against your handicap through your club or provider, the same rounds that already count towards your Golf Australia handicap. Social rounds that don't post a score don't count. Eight of them on your record unlock the national competitions and the handicap improvement bonus; everything else is yours from your first round.

Yes. Monthly membership can be cancelled anytime and you keep access until the end of your billing period. No lock-in contracts.

Monthly, Yearly and Founder members can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the paid period. Founder is a yearly membership: $499/year, renewing each year unless cancelled. Refund eligibility is set out in our terms, consumer-law rights always apply, and the specific Founder terms are shown clearly before you pay.

Every week there are Net and Stroke national competitions based on your verified rounds. From the week starting Monday 5 October 2026, the top five on each leaderboard win GM Points: 1,000 / 500 / 250 / 100 / 50. The week starting 28 September pays the top three: 500 / 250 / 100.

Each month there are Net and Stroke national competitions. From October 2026, the top ten on each leaderboard win GM Points: 2,000 / 1,000 / 500 / 250 / 200 / 150 / 100 / 100 / 50 / 50. September 2026 pays the top five: 1,000 / 500 / 250 / 100 / 50.

They can. GolfMint reviews prize levels every month as the community grows, so the schedule for one period may differ from the next. The app always shows the amounts in force right now. GM Points shown on a live leaderboard are a projection at those amounts, and a placing is paid at the amounts that apply when that competition is finalised.

Improve your handicap by 1.0 or more and earn 500 GM Points. Drop 2.0 or more and earn 1,000 GM Points total. One Handicap Drop Bonus can be earned every rolling 3 months. The 2.0 threshold replaces the 500, it does not add to it. Awarded on verified official improvement within the monthly reward period, not a draw.

If your official Golf Australia handicap drops by a full 1.0 during the monthly reward period and the movement is verified through official data, the 500 GM Point reward is awarded. It's not luck and not a draw, it just needs to happen within the eligible period and meet the eligibility rules.

Improve your handicap by 1.0 or more and earn 500 GM Points. Drop 2.0 or more and earn 1,000 GM Points total. One Handicap Drop Bonus can be earned every rolling 3 months. It is assessed each monthly reward period against your established baseline, so you can't earn it by bouncing your handicap up and down. It is tied to genuine, verified improvement.

No. Improvement is measured from your established baseline handicap using official Golf Australia data, the same system your club uses, not from a temporary spike. Sudden, suspicious movements are reviewed before any reward is awarded, and accounts found manipulating scores are removed. The reward exists for genuine improvement, not for gaming it.

You're not left out. Lower handicappers are strong in the Stroke competitions and still compete in the Net boards every week and month, earn GM Points for every round posted, and get automatic entries into member giveaways. The handicap reward is one of several ways to earn, it's just the one that's easiest for improving golfers.

Eligible rounds are standardised against a par-72 baseline for GolfMint leaderboard comparison, so rounds played on courses with different pars can be compared more fairly across the national leaderboards. This only affects how GolfMint ranks rounds for its own competitions, it never changes your official Golf Australia handicap or scores.

GM Points are GolfMint's internal rewards points. Win them through weekly and monthly competitions, and earn them through rounds played, monthly bonuses, verified handicap improvement, referrals and eligible promotions. You can then use your GM Points to mint rewards in the GolfMint Pro Shop.

Two ways, both automatic. Every eligible round you post earns GM Points: 10 on Standard, 20 on Premium and Founder. On top of that there is a monthly membership bonus: 20 GM Points a month on Starter and Standard, 50 a month on Premium and Founder. That is before anything you win in competitions, earn from handicap improvement, or earn from referrals.

Share your referral code, and when your mate joins with it you both earn GM Points: the same amount each. The amount is set by the referrer's membership: Starter 25 GM Points each, Standard 50 each, and Premium and Founder 100 each. The points land after your mate's first full-price payment, so a $1 first month does not trigger them: they arrive with the first full payment that follows. Both of you need an active membership at that point. There's no cap on backing your mates.

Minting is GolfMint's term for using GM Points to obtain an eligible reward in the GolfMint Pro Shop.

Choose an available reward in the GolfMint app, review its GM Point requirement and use the required GM Points to submit a mint request. GolfMint then verifies and processes eligible mint requests. Eligibility, availability and mint limits apply.

Available rewards may include gift cards from GolfBox, Woolworths, Coles, JB Hi-Fi, Bunnings and Kmart, golf products, GolfMint merchandise and other member rewards shown in the GolfMint Pro Shop. Everyday rewards you'll actually use.

GM Points don't have a fixed cash value, they're GolfMint's internal rewards points. Every reward in the GolfMint Pro Shop shows its current GM Point requirement before you mint, and point requirements, availability and mint limits can vary.

GM Points don't expire while your membership is active. There's no fee to mint, and each reward shows its own GM Point requirement and any processing times in the GolfMint app before you confirm, there's no universal minimum.

Entries are automatic and included with membership: Starter gets 5 entries into every giveaway, Standard gets 10 plus 1 per round played, and Premium and Founder get 50 plus 5 per round played. If you don't win, your entries accumulate into the next giveaway and keep building. They only reset when you win.

Your member discount applies to GolfMint merch: Starter and Standard save 10%, Premium and Founder save 20%. Everything else in the Pro Shop, including gift cards, equipment and other third-party rewards, is minted at its listed GM Point requirement, and that requirement is the same on every membership.

No. GolfMint is an independent golf rewards platform. GolfMint is not affiliated with or endorsed by Golf Australia and does not issue official handicaps or replace a golf club or handicap provider. With your consent, GolfMint tracks eligible information from your official handicap record to run its own competitions and rewards.

No. GolfMint never asks for your Golf Australia or club password. You only provide your GolfID or handicap number so eligible rounds and handicap information can be tracked and verified, and we never sell your data.

No. There are no odds, wagers or stakes. You don't bet money on outcomes. GolfMint rewards real, verified golf performance and improvement. "Bet on yourself" simply means backing your own game.

No. You never pay to enter and there is nothing to buy: entries are included with membership and added automatically - your tier's allocation in every giveaway, plus extra entries for every round you play on Standard and above. Entries cannot be purchased with money or points. It's run as a member promotion under the relevant Australian permits where required, with full terms and conditions.

That's the goal. Rewards are funded directly by memberships, so as the community grows there is more to give back: bigger prize pools, more competition formats and more rewards to mint. Prize levels are reviewed every month and can change from one period to the next, so the current GM Point prizes for every competition are always published in the app before you play. We won't promise a specific future number, but the long-term aim is simple: keep increasing the value members get from the golf they already play.
